MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THIS PRE ENTRY VIDEO SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT
https://youtu.be/RXr6xKW7IaA Are your skills beyond the basics and your goal is to obtain your Class M license?  Then the Total Control 1 Day Premier (1DP) class is ideal for you. In this eight hour clinic, you’ll learn on your bike the critical information to improve your skills and to make you a more knowledgeable and safer rider. This important next step in rider training will focus on better control of your motorcycle such as maximum braking, swerving and cornering skills. These key elements will provide considerable skill improvements and really boost your confidence out on the road.  Along with the five hours of learning on your motorcycle, you’ll also learn in the dynamic classroom things such as: maximizing traction management, how to choose proper lines through the turns, as well as discussions about the psychological aspects of motorcycling like overcoming fear, keeping your concentration and having the right attitude.  Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a DL 389 certificate which allows you to waive the riding skills
portion of the DMV motorcycle license application and a 1DP completion card*. Some insurance companies give a discount for successful completion of this course - check with your insurance company to find out if you would qualify! *this completion card cannot be used to waive the riding test at the DMV. Mandatory before registering – you need to have:
  • 100+ miles of street riding experience
  • recent riding experience (within the past year)
  • A registered, up to date motorcycle that you will ride during the class that is in good working order*
  • Proof of insurance
  • Proper riding gear**
If you do not have a bike, we can loan you one for the class.

* Your motorcycle will be subject to the instructor’s inspection of the bikes tires, chassis, suspension, controls and final drive assembly. Tires should have sufficient tread (at least 33mm). Air pressure will be checked before class starts. Absolutely NO race, race compound tires or car tires if they are not DOT approved. Any bikes that do not meet the minimum safety requirements will not be permitted in class.  **Proper gear required includes: a DOT approved 3/4, full face, or modular helmet, if you need one, we will provide one.  You must also wear proper eye gear, shatterproof glasses or motorcycle specific googles are acceptable.   Additionally, you will need to be dressed in a motorcycle-specific jacket or sweatshirt (armor at elbows and shoulders), we can provide if necessary, full-fingered street-motorcycle-specific or leather gloves (mechanics-style gloves, off-road gloves, etc. are NOT allowed), long, thick jeans or pants (no spandex/stretch pants) without rips or holes and sturdy, padded, over the ankle boots (no fashion boots, or high heeled boots), leather high-top sneakers are allowed (canvas or cloth sneakers are NOT allowed). You also need full length socks (no ankle socks); you must have no exposed skin showing.  You need protection on every part of your body - if you do not show up to class with the proper gear, you will be dismissed.

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the start of the clinic so as to check you in and have your bike inspected.
