Traffic School - In Person

Traffic school classes fill quickly - if you register anytime before the day of class, you will ensure your spot AND save $5!  

Cerritos College (traffic school #TVS00087) offers an eight-hour class, taught in English.  After obtaining permission from the courts to attend traffic school, you can then register for traffic school.* 

You must bring your drivers license and citation to class - if you do not, your information cannot be entered into the CA DMV website and you will not get credit for your traffic school attendance.  If your ticket was obtained out of state, you MUST VERIFY BEFORE REGISTERING with the out-of-state courts as to if they will accept the completion receipt (not all will).  If you register and the out of state court rejects your competion receipt, no refund will be given.

Per DMV regulations, class begins at 8am sharp - you cannot arrive late.  Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before class begins in order to buy your parking permit, find your class location on campus and fill out your paperwork you need to complete for your class.  You need to be in your seat at the start of class - if you are late, you will not be let in, and no refund will be issued.

At the completion of class, you will receive a completion receipt.  Within three business days, the office will enter our attendance and information you provided on the forms you compleed into the CA DMV system electronically; this is how the courts will know that you completed your class.  

*Per DMV regulations, commercial drivers are prohibited from attending traffic school except if they obtain a violation when operating a non-commercial vehicle (per AB 1888).
