The ability to follow directions is one of the most important skills for a child to have in order to be successful in schoolwork. Cooking is a great way to acquire the skill along with math and reading comprehension skills.
Students will learn how to make tasty and healthy snacks like pancakes, breakfast egg cups, homemade granola, eggy in the heart, strawberry shortcake and oatmeal cookies to name a few of fun recipes. Students will make a small recipe book to start building on the items they have learned to make. Best of all, they get to eat what they make!
Note: a parent or other adult needs to be present to supervise and assist during the class.
