American Sign Language (Grades 7-12)

In this Intro class, you’ll learn basic signs, as well as a bit
about the history of signing and etiquette when interacting
with a deaf person. Lessons will be taught in an interactive
manner through the use of role play, videos and worksheets.
Who knows, perhaps you’ll decide to continue your learning
and become a certifi ed interpreter one day! This is also a
good way to see if you might like to pursue ASL in college
(ASL is recognized by the CSU’s and UC’s as a credit bearing
class through the UC’s or CSU’s).
